Iran's president blasted President Obama today for voicing criticism of the Islamic Republic's crackdown on dissenters in the wake of an explosion of civil unrest sparked by a dispute over his reelection.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, emerging from a period of relative quiet, criticized Obama for making "unconventional, abnormal and discourteous comments" in condemning the violence and political repression.
